Christian.net takes your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn
more about our privacy policy:
- Your Personal Information:
- A new Christian.net membership has no personal information associated with it
other than your e-mail address. All other data such as your name, birthdate, occupation,
etc. are entirely optional and can be added, edited, or deleted by you at any time.
This optional data is visible to other members of Christian.net. If you don't want
people to see it, don't type it in.
Under no circumstances will Christian.net sell or share your personal information
with any individual or organization.
- Your E-Mail Address
- All Christian.net accounts are required to keep a valid and functional e-mail address
on file. By creating a Christian.net account you are permitting us to send you e-mail
under the following circumstances:
- Certain actions (like creating a new account) will generate automated confirmation
messages.
- Certain system features may provide an e-mail notification option (such as requesting
to be notified whenever someone replies to one of your posts). These are turned off by
default and you must explicitly enable them.
- We may contact you as part of our investigative process in the event that we receive
abuse reports.
You will never be added to any mailing list that we operate unless you explicitly
opt in.
We will never give, sell, or in any way share your e-mail address with any individual
or organization.
- Cookies
- Christian.net sets one cookie in your browser that is used to track your current
session. This cookie is named 'CNETSID' and it does not contain any personal information
at all, nor does it contain your password.
To log into a Christian.net account your browser must allow this cookie.
Various other cookies are used throughout the site to track certain preferences. None of these contain
any personal information at all.
- Access Logging
- The Christian.net system logs all accesses. This information includes the time
of access, your IP address, your browser name and version, and which pages you view. This
information is gathered for the purpose of generating general statistics as well as for
tracking abuse. This is the same information that every web server collects.
- Changes To This Policy
- We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify our membership
about significant changes via a prominant notice on our main page and on the announcements
message board.
