Brigada purposes to be an "op center", a tool-box that can pull together the people, the resources, and the networks to aid in completing the task of reaching specific cities and people groups with the love of Jesus Christ. Included in this goal are the 100 Gateway Cities targeted for special prayer in the Praying Through the Window campaign for October. Brigada began with a simple question: What if a congregation or individual wanted to actually go to one of those 100 Gateway Cities? What if there were two, or three, or more? How would they ever meet? How could they pray for one another and share strategies, ideas, and joint plans -- so that we won't all have to duplicate effort and 'reinvent the wheel' during mobilization? From across the country, at AD2000 & Beyond's International Office, to SIL, to Global Mapping, to MARC, to CIN, to David Barrett's office, to Patrick Johnstone, and many others .... the message was the same... we need a network such as Brigada to find out what are the opportunities, the resources, and those responding. It is the international church planting arm of the Conservative Baptist Church in North America, and is headquartered in Wheaton, Illinois USA. The ministry focus at CBInternational is the fulfillment of the Great Commission through the primary tasks of evangelizing the lost, establishing new churches and equipping national leadership.
