Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.”
There are 2 kinds of strength; physical and spiritual. Physical strength refers to the overall well-being of our bodies. Our body’s capability in physical activities determines our physical strength. While spiritual strength includes our emotions and faith. It is measured by the way we handle problems and how we pick ourselves up whenever life knocks us down. We can easily improve our physical strength through a good diet and proper exercise, but spiritual strength can only be achieved through faith and hope. Bible verses about strength will give us an idea of how God is our strength.
Improving our faith relies on how well we know God’s promise and how attached we are to His words. Trusting in God and knowing His noble plans for us will give us the assurance that no matter what happens in our life, God is with us and everything works for good. Our faith will give us the strength that we need in every area of our lives.
Bible Verses About Strength During Hard Times
Whenever we face challenges in life, we often feel that we are alone. We think that we can solve our problems if we just think and think about it. But the more we sit and think about our problems without doing anything else, the more we wear ourselves out. Dealing with difficult things by using our own strength will just give us endless worries and fears. Living in this world, we know that hard and tough times are inevitable. The good news is, the God we believe in is stronger than these hardships. We can overcome any trial when we are with Him. He promised, as seen in the Bible verses below, that He will strengthen us in times that we can’t get up anymore.
The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.
For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”
“Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.”
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.”
Bible Verses About Peace And Strength
Walking through the path of life, we encounter things that will ruin our peace and drain our strength. It will bring us to an endless pit of misery once we deal with it in the wrong way. Keeping our peace is a very hard thing to do when we are facing things that make our hearts anxious and shake our faith.
Family and financial problems are one of the main sources of our weariness. Dealing with both of these situations will make us feel hopeless. But the Mighty God in the Bible tells us something in the verses below. He assures us the continuous supply of strength and His continuous support to us We just have to believe that Our Father in Heaven does not sleep and He can see all things, day and night. God has our lives under control when we willingly place our lives into His hands.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.”

“But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.”
You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.
God Will Strengthen You When You Are Weak
God has an abundant supply of love, happiness, blessing, and strength. In times of sickness or any dire need, He promises us to give the strength that we need. In the Bible, we can read about the verses where we have the assurance from God that He never will never abandon us. Instead, He will always protect us and uphold us through any challenges we may face.
If our physical body is sick, we can easily go to the doctor. But when talking about our spiritual welfare, only God and His words can appease our drained spirit and dwindling faith. The Bible verse below will remind us that God is all we need when we feel weak.
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak

Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.
Strength From God
God promised in the Bible that He will always be by our side; guiding us with every step and helping us overcome the things we find difficult in life. Standing on that promise itself will make us feel strengthened. Knowing that the Creator of the vast and unfathomable universe got our back, surely nothing will scare us nor weaken us. For God never and can not break His words.
1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me.
Use Your Strength For The Lord
God gives us the strength to get by with life every day. He provides us the things we need. The Bible warned about using those things against the will of God. There are verses in the Bible where we can see the commandments of God of where to use our blessings and strength.
And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.
1 Chronicles 19:13
Be strong, and let us use our strength for our people and for the cities of our God, and may the Lord do what seems good to him.”
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Asking God For Strength
Now that the final days before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is near, the prophecy of various hardships in the world is slowly surfacing. In this trying time, the only thing that we can do is to pray to God to give us the strength needed to overcome these things till the day Jesus comes again. Praying for strength is something that we should do every day. Like eating every day to replenish the strength of our body, we should pray to God to replenish our strength.
