We all want to live a simple life free from any complications. But sometimes, life gets hard. It is inevitable. Most of us feel distressed and insecure over our futures. Every day, we make different decisions that may affect us in many ways. Sometimes we also fear that the things happening in our lives are not according to how we planned it. 1 Peter 5:7 

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

We want to navigate our lives on our own. But there are things that we don’t have control of. God is telling us that we can trust all our burdens to him. We can surrender our lives to him because he cares for each of us. God knows what’s best for us. He’s fully aware of what we need and he has better plans for our lives. When we put our complete trust in God, we are also allowing him to take control of our lives. He will guide us all throughout. When life gets hard and confusing, having a strong foundation of trust in God will help us stand firm. 

For us to completely trust God, we have to rely more on his words. The Bible is God’s love letter to us. It expresses to us how much he loves us. At the same time, it shows what he has done to demonstrate his unfailing and marvelous love. The Bible also tells us how we should live according to his character.

Joshua 1:9

Psalm 55:22 

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Life is never easy. Most of the time, we face various trials and challenges. These will make us confused, anxious, and weak. With this, we can lift our burdens to God. Even though sometimes we say that we trust God, we still bear our burdens on ourselves. We shouldn’t hesitate when we trust God. Let’s put our one hundred percent confidence in him. In his presence, we can find peace and comfort. God will continuously sustain us. He will not let us fall.

Psalm 112:7 

They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

Matthew 6:25

All of us worry about our lives. And those doubts and fears may lead to different negative effects on our lives. Romans 8:28 

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

God works in all areas of our lives, not only on specific incidents, for our good. This doesn’t mean that all that happens to us is good. In our fallen world, evil is prevalent, but God can turn every circumstance for our long-range good. Also, God doesn’t do this to make us happy but to fulfill his purpose in our lives. Philippians 4:19 

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

We can put our trust and security in God because he will meet our needs. He will supply all the things we need on earth and even in heaven. However, we must take note of the difference between our needs and wants. Most of the time, we just want to feel good and avoid pain or any discomfort. But remember, we may not get all that we want. When we put our trust in God, our attitudes can change. From wanting everything, we learn how to accept God’s provision and power to live for him.

Hebrews 13:5-6 

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

One of our worries is money. Of course, we need to have wealth to sustain our needs. But remember, God is our great provider. He knows what we need, and he will give it to us. Yes, we need to work to survive this earth, but our lives shouldn’t only revolve around money. We must learn how to be content with what we have. And we can become satisfied when we learn that God is sufficient for our needs. We can trust God that he will meet all our needs. He loves us so much that he will continuously provide for our needs. Additionally, we should be reminded that money, and possessions will all pass away (Matthew 19:21).

Psalm 28:7 

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

Putting our trust in God gives us strength and security. He is a powerful and all-knowing God. His grace and strength are sufficient for us. Psalm 91-1-2

Psalm 62:7 

My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

Our salvation and honor depend on God. When we trust God to be our rock, refuge, and fortress, our entire outlook in life will change. When we put our trust in God, nothing can shake us. 

Psalm 56:3-4 

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

We experience different trials and challenges that make us feel confused, afraid, and hopeless. Jesus speaks not only to Jairus but to us not to be afraid amidst a crisis. And we put out steadfast faith in him. In Jesus, there is both hope and promise. Whenever we feel troubled and hopeless, we can look at our struggles in Jesus’ perspective. Knowing God’s character, we shouldn’t be afraid and have faith in him.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

God is the ultimate source of abundant hope. When we wholeheartedly trust him, we will be filled with joy and peace with the power of the Holy Spirit. And this will lead us to have an abounding hope. 2 Corinthians 5:7-8

God leads us to places or to do things beyond our comprehension. Regardless of how unclear the paths we’re taking, we shouldn’t let our hearts be troubled and trust him. We must have faith in Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Philippians 4:6-7 

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

All of us have different worries in our lives. We have worries about our jobs, at school, or even at our homes. But this Bible verse about trusting God teaches us to turn our worries into prayers.
