A short prayer for the Fourth of July, regardless of its length, is still powerful in its intentions. The Lord never forgets us. As such, we shouldn’t forget to thank Him with Fourth of July prayers for giving us this day to celebrate in the first place.

Dearest God, we lift up this prayer to You in gratitude for this grand occasion. Thank You for blessing our nation with the joy of freedom, as we are only able to live so freely because of You. True freedom is only found through You, and we wouldn’t be here today without Your holy guidance. Please watch over us, our loved ones, our neighbors, and every other American – that we may all have a safe and blessed Fourth of July that places You at the center of everything. May we never forget that it is You whom we celebrate every day of our mortal lives until we are ultimately reunited in Your kingdom. Amen.

Thank You for allowing us to live our truths and come out victorious in our fight for freedom as one united nation. We pray for America, that this nation may never forget that it was You who granted us true independence. 5. Fourth of July Prayer for Peace in America

In this fourth of July prayer, let us humbly ask the Lord for a peaceful celebration, so that this day may be one that is celebrated in harmony with our fellow citizens.

Dear God in Heaven, we humbly offer this prayer for peace and unity in the country. Today is a day we celebrate with pride and honor. However, we must not forget that it is also a day that is celebrated peacefully and harmoniously with others. We pray that our Fourth of July celebrations remain peaceful and joyful. Engaging in conflict would only dishonor our ancestors – and, more importantly, You. As our celebrations remain peaceful, we pray for other nations all over the world as well. May they, too, may find the peace that they so passionately fight for. We are all deserving of peace, so this prayer is lifted up to You, as everything rests in Your blessed hands. Amen.

As we look back on far we’ve come, let us also keep our nation’s leaders in our prayers. Fourth of July prayers are also meant to enlighten those around us, especially those in leadership. Let us use these bible verses about wisdom to pray for God’s guidance to be upon them as they continue to bring America to greater heights.

Dearest Lord, we pray to You today, humbly seeking wisdom for ourselves and for our leaders. Thank You for blessing us with capable leaders who keep our best interests in mind. Our leaders are good and capable, for they lead with You at the center of their hearts. Please continue to watch over our country’s leaders. Lend them Your wisdom, so that they may continue to make responsible and wise decisions for the betterment of our country and its people. We pray that You bless them with Your grace, that they may remain faithful and fight the temptations of evil. It is You who is our true leader in life, Lord. 8. Prayer For Healing in America

There are others hurt by the injustices of the world, that are still on the road to healing. We offer this prayer for healing for them, and for other underlying tensions in the country, as there can be no true unity when we harm others in the process.

Oh loving Father, we offer this prayer for the healing of our brothers and sisters today. This Fourth of July is a time of celebration. But, we cannot celebrate so openly when there is pain in our hearts for those who are hurting. Lord, we pray that You heal those who suffer today and ease their pain. May they lift their worries to You, for only You are able to grant us salvation from suffering. The wounds of those around us run deep. So, we pray that those in pain are able to fight against their hardships in order to find You, Lord. Only You can truly take our pain away. We pray for those on the verge of conflict, that they may not give in to the temptation of anger and instead find serenity in You.  With this, we pray that all those who have been harmed will find their hearts enlightened with Your most loving grace. Amen.

9. A Prayer For Racism in America

Racism, especially in America, remains rampant. Offer this prayer for peace in the world, so that we may all see each other in equality for what we truly are: followers in Christ who were created in His most holy image.

Most holy Lord, we are so blessed to be where we are today. We, as Your followers, have progressed to become more mature and educated about the world we live in. But Lord, there are others who still struggle to see the world from another’s perspective. Without a doubt, we are all equal in Your eyes. You’ve created us in Your most glorious image. Thus, we pray for those who have lost sight of this. We pray for those who think themselves superior. May they be graced with humility and be reminded of Your compassion. After all, it is You who is the most perfect example we are to look up to. Humbly we pray that we all see each other not for our color or size but for our true value as fellow followers of Christ. We also pray for forgiveness, for racism is a true sin that no one deserves to be subject to. Please, Lord, we ask for You to watch over all of us. We pray that we may not be put in harm’s way, nor subject others to such harmful deeds. Amen.

This is why we praise the Lord on this occasion with Fourth of July prayers. Offer a prayer for America today as we celebrate the nation and the Lord. It is He who reigns over all things in life.

Lord Almighty, we praise You and Your holy name today, a day that celebrates our right to live as a free country. May we never forget that we are Your followers first and foremost. Our mission in our mortal lives is to praise Your most holy name. All our actions are decided by Your will, so it is thus Your will that we are able to live so generously in Your blessings. We pray that this nation continues to revere You every day of our lives. This country is Yours to lead until the end of time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
