Lord, today we lift the new moms to You. We ask that You keep both the mothers and the babies in their wombs in good health. Protect them from any harm and bless them with safe delivery. We also pray for those who have just given birth. May You give them strength as their bodies heal and wisdom as they learn to breastfeed and care for their new little ones. We pray that they will be surrounded by loving partners, family, and friends who can help them through this period of time. Lord, today I want to thank You for my wife. Thank You for blessing me with a best friend, a confidant, and a beautiful companion that I can live my life with. Let’s also lift to the Lord this prayer for mothers who are struggling today. This is a Mother’s day prayer for the tired moms hurting and battling their emotions. 

Dear Lord, there are days when motherhood just seems too hard to carry on. There are days when we struggle to be there for our children as we fight our own fears and battles. But, we thank You for never abandoning us. At every turn of doubt and fear, You’ve always met us and guided us.

You are truly a wonderful and loving God, the source of our strength and hope for each new day, as you care for other mothers. We pray for the moms struggling to hold on. Father, please provide them with Your strength and mercy this Mother’s Day. To mothers who feel like they’re failing, we ask for Your grace and mercy to be upon them. For mothers who are suffering, we pray that Your comfort surrounds them.  Lord, only You can give these mothers Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind these mothers that they can lay down before You every burden, every fear, and every hurt. 

We also pray for those struggling with grief from losing a child. No matter how broken a heart may be, God, You can mend every wound. So, we lift their broken hearts to You today and ask for Your comfort and peace. Help them know that they are not alone in this fight, that You are always with them, and that there is hope for better days ahead. May they find healing and rest in Your presence. Here is a prayer for all those who are grieving the loss of their mothers.

Heavenly Father, we come to You today in prayer and lift those who are grieving the loss of their mothers. The pain of losing a mother is a pain like no other. The hurt in their hearts remains and can feel unbearable at times. But Father, You are the God of hope and comfort. You are the one that can lift us up no matter how broken we are. You are the light even in the darkest of valleys.

10. Prayer for Those Waiting to be a Mom

Today let us also lift up a prayer for all the women who are waiting to be mothers.

Lord, today I pray for those who are still waiting to conceive and become mothers. We pray that You would grant these women the desires of their hearts – whether that is to become mothers through traditional means, adoption, or foster care. I pray that You would surround them with Your love, peace, and comfort. We know that the wait can be long and difficult. Therefore, we pray that You give them strength for another day of waiting. May they know that You are with them and that You love them. Strengthen and increase their faith as they wait on You. Help them know that You know their hearts’ desires and You will answer in Your perfect timing.

I pray that You also help keep their hope alive and trust in Your plans and Your pleasing and perfect will. We know that You have a plan for their lives and we trust that Your plan is good. Strengthen them for the journey ahead, Lord, and may they find community and support along the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
