When we think of Easter, images of Easter bunnies, chocolate eggs, and baskets adorned with symbolic Easter colors flash through my mind. I think most of us can relate that this day sparks joy in us. There are just so many fun activities to do and food to enjoy with our friends, loved ones, and family. All of this is because we are celebrating the resurrection of Christ, our King. It is indeed the day that the Lord has made that’s why we have a wonderful reason to rejoice. May we not forget to thank the Lord through an Easter prayer or two for Jesus’ finished work on the cross that gave us the gift of eternal life.

For it is written in the Bible, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26) It is so comforting to know that the God we adore and worship is alive!

Let us come humbled in front of our Lord with a heart of thanksgiving and gratitude. Ask yourselves: What are you thankful for this Easter? What are the things you’re praying and believing for?
