Feeling lonely at times is inevitable because we cannot find someone who can understand or empathize with our circumstances. And sometimes, it is also because we choose to isolate ourselves from others or choose to see our problems as bigger than God. However, bible verses about loneliness reveal one thing: our God is a living God who has never left us in spite of the many times we’ve left Him. He knows our thoughts and feelings. How do I talk to God about loneliness? You pray. Let’s seek Him in our loneliest of times, as only His companionship can comfort us.

Dear God, sometimes it feels like I have no one in my life. The loneliness I carry in my heart is overwhelming, so in You, I seek a dwelling place of companionship and comfort. Even though I feel hopeless and lonely now, Your love reminds me that everything will be alright in the end. Thank You for Your constant reassurance, and for always making Yourself known to me even in the darkest of times. I know that I am never alone, for Your most holy presence is always with me.
