During seasons of trials and tiredness, where do you go? In times of need and weakness, what do you do? It isn’t helpful nor a solution to use your remaining energy, dwelling in your shortcomings whilst in the middle of a storm. Dwelling in your shortcomings will only drown you deeper into weariness instead of growing stronger in Christ. What you need in times of these struggles is a refreshment of your soul. This refreshment can only be found in God’s presence. Praying is an act of enjoying His majestic presence. We will overcome our fatigue and weaknesses with prayers for strength.

As a human, your body, mind, and capabilities are limited. Our strength fails; our hearts fail. This is why being connected to the source of all strength is vital. He gives us everything and knitted us into amazing moving, breathing, and living masterpieces. He knows how to strengthen us in the best manner within our individual capabilities. Whenever you feel the need for strength. He’s just a prayer away.

Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

The Apostle Paul who wrote much of the New Testament also struggled with weaknesses. However, the difference from our perspective is that Paul looked at his weaknesses as how God looked at it. The enemy might intend to use Paul’s weaknesses against him and use it for bad, but God did not. Our weaknesses allow us to be dependent on God’s power. He can work through us, despite our weakness. It is difficult to pause in the middle of the worries and busy schedules of our daily lives. Because we are so preoccupied with a lot of things going around, we forget to take a break and renew our strength. Our souls get weary also as well as our physical bodies.  Jesus encouraged the weary in this manner, He said:

Matthew 11:28  Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest

You can always find rest and peace in God when you are tired and have nowhere to go and no one to turn to. These prayers for strength are helpful when you find yourself weary and exhausted.

Lord, I am weary and don’t know when this “race” will end in my life. I feel like I’ve been running forever, trying to outrun this trial.
